Stefan had been all over the world before and after the Apocalypse hit. He had seen every grounder camp in America that he could get into without being killed. Yet in front of him stood a town that looked fully intact and healthy. He knew it wasn't there before. It was impossible for a town to just appear wasn't it? Unless he had taken a wrong turn and just never come across this part of the forest before. However something felt off. Even with his human senses he knew something wasn't right. He just didn't know what. The human approached the new town cautiously. He longed for a town with buildings that were not ruins. He didn't realise how much he missed Mystic Falls and all the drama that came with it. After all it was his home and it was gone along with all the people he cared about. Whose home was this? whoever lived here must care for it to be rebuilt. As he got closer he could tell that was not a grounder camp neither was it skaikru's camp. From what he could see at the moment it seemed to be deserted as he walked up and saw a sign 'Welcome to Storybrooke' In his three hundred years he hadn't heard of this place. Stefan took in all the detail. The small quaint town that looked a little like Mystic Falls but then all towns kind of looked the same after awhile. Stefan walked through the towns streets until he saw a large mansion. It looked like the old Salvatore estate but modern. Was he dreaming a whole new town up just because it had been so long since his town was inhabitable. Stefan approached the house and tried to open the front door to see if anyone was home. Storybooke woke up from a deep slumber and ever since that moment Regina was struggling to sink in that new reality as it was a lot to take in. Zira's curse, a gap of more then a hundred years, vampires, hybrids, this strange new world that looked more like a corpse then exactly a pleasant place to live. How could all this information be easy to handle?
Well. It wasn't.
Sitting in her office within her mansion, her eyes were looking down at the spellbook on top of her desk. Her fingers tapped against her forehead as she thought things and solutions through. When the town awoke, Regina had dropped it's protection spell, meaning that right now Storybooke was visible to everyone. In a world populated by vampires, hybrids and wrecking destruction, she wondered if such had been a good idea, so she decided to isolate herself and focus precisely in this. Perhaps it was wise to start thinking about ways of lifting up the spell again or perhaps even cast a new one that would keep it's inhabitants safe from the outside dangers.
But as these thoughts ran through her head, she heard what it seemed someome opening the front door. First she arched an eyebrow at the sound, realizing in that moment that she left the front door unlocked. But then, she tensed up. Who would even dare to enter her mansion without her permission? Or maybe, just maybe, it was Henry, finally coming home. This last thought, gave her a sense of joy so she didn't think twice before materializing herself to the entrance of her mansion, only to find out there was a stranger inside.
"Who the hell are you?"

Stefan was surprised that the door opened. Either the person was home or like the Boarding House it was inhabited by many or they just didn't care. Maybe noone would dare enter the house without permission? Just as he stepped inside he was confronted by a person just appearing in front of him. It wasn't like a or Hybrid using their speed she just appeared with smoke. He couldn't hide the look of shook and surprise upon his face. "What the Hell...?" He took an involuntary step back out of instinct and reaction to the sudden movement. As far as Stefan was aware magic died from the world over a hundred years ago and yet that could be nothing else except magic. Even as a human he couldn't be fooled that quickly. Was there such a thing as magic still? Was this how this town just appeared. Maybe it was like the Gemini Coven. Maybe he had stumbled across it but he wasn't magic so how could he active it? He couldn't stop the thoughts, one down side of being human, he couldn't stop any thoughts or emotions anywhere near as well as he could as a . Could there be a way that he could be a again? Could there be a way to make himself mortal again so he didn't have to live in this world forever as the only human to live forever? Joy filled him as the possibility were endless. Maybe this whole town was a coven, maybe there was a way to reverse the effects of the radiation to get the world back to how it was before. When all this was going on in his head it didn't occur to him that the witch was ahead of him awaiting an answer. "I..." What could he say? She maybe the answer to all his problems. He could change. No matter how he had wished to be human since turning he now wished that he was again a or at least have a guaranteed ending rather than uncertainty and guess work. All that time of trying to act human trying to fit in and then he could but now the world was different. He didn't know which he wanted humanity or vamperism but he didn't want to be stuck in between. The otherside may still exist or there may have even be a way to contact the after life and find the way to fix him. He had to befriend her if it was possible. "My name is Stefan and I could ask you the same thing." It was obvious that she didn't come from this time or something along those lines. Her clothes were pristine, fashionable and not like everybody else in this post apocalyptic world. She, like him, just didn't seem to fit in the world just like the whole town. As soon as Regina materialized in front of the male, she realized how startled and surprised he was. But his reaction didn't seem to be caused merely by the surprise factor but also because it seemed that it was the first time he was seeing someone materializing like that, fact that made Regina automatically think that he wasn't from around there or at the very least, that he wasn't familiarized with magic at all.
"So? Are you going to stand there all day?"
Her question had a certain hostility to it, even though the other had given a step back and didn't seem to be hostile at all. But after all that Regina had seen and experienced through her life, could she really be blamed? This was a stranger in her house after all so the last thing she was going to do was act nice straight away.
Yet she arched a brow when he shot the question right back at her. Seriously? Was he really giving her attitude in her own territory? "I'm sorry but... last time I checked, I was the one making questions around here." She replied with a sound that resembled a snarl as she gave a step towards the intruder. Yet, his posture remained and he still seemed everything but hostile despite Regina's best effort to scare him or provoke some sort of reaction out of him. For this reason, she stopped and eyed him carefully. He didn't exactly seem scared but there was something off about his eyes. He seemed stuck in a limbo between hopeful and sad and that made her wonder about the real reasons behind his intentions. "I'm Regina." She finally replied, her arms folding on top of her chest. "And I'm going to give you a minute to tell me what the hell are you doing in my mansion. If you're not done by then... I suggest you start running."

Stefan couldn't believe magic still existed after all these years of searching leads down to old artifacts that survived and found bupkis now there was magic right in front of him. How powerful was she? He had never seen Bonnie materialize before or any other witch for that matter. Was this a new type of magic or was she that strong he didn't know but he wanted to find out. It fascinated him, magic always had it was exactly explainable and his experiences with it had both been good and bad. At that thought he didn't know which she was but she hadn't given him an aneurysm. No, wait he remembered an aneurysm would possibly kill him now. Witches no longer hated him for being a so maybe that was why she hadn't attacked yet? "Sorry. I have so many questions. It is a lot for me to take in. It's been a hundred years since...." He stopped himself. People who knew him before would be surprised how he was alive let alone people who didn't know about the supernatural or the cure. He wasn't put of by her hostility after all he was in her house unannounced. It wasn't like she was the worst person he had been against but she did bring out curiosity in him that he hadn't felt for years. He now had hope. Stefan nodded. Of course she was he could tell she had been hurt at some point in her life as she had high walls. He could tell when someone had been wronged and it took away your ability to trust and your innocence. "You're right. It's just I know you are not from here and Storybrooke isn't a place I have ever heard of before. I was curious, this place looks like a very old childhood home I once had." As she stepped forward he stood his ground. He wouldn't be scared off from this now. Magic existed and he would, by any means necessary, find a way to use it or find out how she got it. Stefan put his hands in his pocket when she crossed her arms to prove to her he wasn't going to try anything. What could he say? Be honest and hope or lie and hope not to be found out? "Okay well it's a very long story. It will take more than a minute but I'll keep it brief. Magic hasn't been spotted for over a hundred years since the radiation hit. People even doubt it's existence but even before you proved you had it I knew it was real. I've been looking for some kind of magic for a very long time and I had given up hope until a few minutes ago. " He chose truth or mostly the truth. He needed her and he couldn't risk losing it by lying. He had lost everything by lying for the last century and he couldn't do it anymore. He felt a weight lift of his shoulders. Regina Mills
