Although the woods were familiar to her, although she usually felt at ease, Octavia threaded through the lines of trees with caution and stealth. A town had emerged out of nowhere merely days before and she did not trust those people. Her encounter with them, although brief proved that they were not an immediate danger but they could be; and that was exactly what had her on edge. There had been enough fighting among the grounder clans, and between the grounders and skaikru to add another tribe to the mix. If need be, she would aid her people in exterminating the danger by any means necessary. And in that case, she would not hesitate to let the skairipa (sky ripper) side of her to take control again. The grounders had given her that name which meant "death form above" and as much as she tried to drown that darkness in her with hopes of a better future, it wasn't enough to keep that part of her dormant.
As soon as she arrived to an optimal viewing position of the magical town, she dropped the backpack she was carrying with a couple of provisions. She was going to keep an eye on those people whether her commander ordered her to do so or not. She brought her walkie along in case she had to convey a message or a warning to their capital. The two cities were too close for comfort, only half a day's march away. Add to that the fact that they knew practically nothing about the strangers that appeared out of nowhere. Octavia knew nothing of their background, their abilities, their strengths, their weaknesses, but she was going to find out. The only thing that she needed was patience and, luckily, it was a trait she had acquired in her training. Crouching at her vantage point, she awaited to see the movement that occurred within the town. The residents seemed to mostly remain in their grounds, not venturing further from their town line. Were they scared? Had they been commanded not to leave? Those questions, and many more puzzled her, though not for long.
Her green eyes narrowed then widened against her binoculars, when she saw a man in dark clothing, approach the border with a confident stride, the edges of her mouth rising to a smile. Her patience had paid of. Already armed, she went down the tree covered hill at a fast pace, managing to so silently. Upon seeing his silhouette a hundred feet part, she slowed down, sword in hand, and took cover in the trees, simply waiting to cease her moment until he was just a couple of meters away. It was then that she appeared from behind him, her sword barely touching his back, but positioned quite comfortably between his shoulder blades. "You're trespassing on grounder territory, veida" (invader), she stated with disdain, the tip on her sword pressing against his leather jacket further. "What makes you think you can stroll around our land as if it were your private backyard?" Octavia hissed, being her oh so charming self, her stance strong and defiant.
