ROMANCES It has been quite a few years since Elena has been in a committed relationship. She broke off from the Salvatore's long ago, keeping in touch here and there, but she wanted to find her role in the world by the time her true age hit 80. Recently, she was a doctor during the war and has not found time for romance in this post-apocalyptic world. This can change in the future, though.
FRIENDSHIPS Elena is a very easy person to befriend. She is compassionate and loyal beyond compare; in such a horrid time, making new friends may be quite hard, but a bit of normalcy never hurt anyone. Plus, in such a ruined world, friends and allies will probably be needed.
ENEMIES As of right now, Elena has no clear enemies. She has not encountered the likes of Katherine Pierce or Niklaus Mikaelson in some time, and the latter probably wouldn't even be considered an enemy if she crossed paths with him again. Though, someone could easily become her enemy if they threaten her safety or those close to her.

Present time role-play takes place 132 years after the nuclear apocalypse, I was thinking we could go with a flashback just after the apocalypse occured, Elena meeting Niklaus for the first time after the horrendous events, and witnessing what Hope's loss has done to him.

Dearest LaCunt,
I am definitely down for a flashback thread to directly after the apocalypse began. At this time, I'm having it be that Elena was a doctor attempting to help in the effort to save as many humans as possible. Of course, with the radiation and all, no doctors could be extremely successful. I'd imagine the deaths of so many people under her care without her having any power to help them drove her a little crazy at the time.
How would you want it to go--somewhere in Mystic Falls, New Orleans when Elena maybe travels there in an attempt to save some people in the city at a camp, or even they ironically bump into each other somewhere else?
I'd also love a modern thread because I'm greedy. Would you want them to have had any contact in the last 132 years? Would Klaus still be keeping his eye on Elena since there is always that thought that she could become human once again? Do you want their current relationship to be strained or neutral or even positive?

I think Nik would be more likely to stay in New Orléans after the tragedy plays out. You know just how much he loves to win, and just how much he despises losing. I believe that Hope's death would mean defeat, because in a way it means that a greater foe defeated him (makes sense?) and because of that I want to have him in a particuliar mindset where he keeps playing in his head all the events, trying to point out where exactly he did something wrong. So, I'm having him roaming New Orleans' streets, endlessly. Like he is some tape playing on repeat. If you don't mind, I'd rather have them meet in New Orléans then.
As for the present thread, I know you are greedy, because I'm greedy, and we're just two greedy assholes, and that's all there is to know. ANYWAY, stop babbling.
I could picture Niklaus very, very well saying something to her in the past, like something about the fact that she is nothing to him? Like in one of his bad days, and I picture him, telling her she means nothing to him, she isn't family. And in that moment, I think the only people he can bare are his siblings, because the rest of the world feels like too much of a burden, you know? And so, he'd just destroy everything that doesn't belong to his family. And from that point on, they would part ways? Like, him drowning in solitude. And occasionally they'd see of each other throughout the years, and Nik would act like nothing happened, because he always does. But really, the words forever linger, makes sense? I don't know if you get what I mean, it's very clear in my head, but I am making a mess of it with my words. And so there's always this semi raging boundary between them that is so sharp and cutting?

That's definitely understandable for his character to remain in New Orleans after the initial period of the nuclear apocalypse. I will have it that Elena traveled there to help with a failing medical camp for humans, and even to check in with the Mikaelson's since there is nothing truly holding her to Mystic Falls at that point in her life. I'd imagine prior to this point, they'd be on pretty neutral terms, even leaning towards positive after Klaus returned to Mystic Falls the years before to save Damon and after everything he did for Caroline. She'd of course feel remorse for Hope, and for the whole family really for the things they'd gone through because of her death. There's always that boundary between them, though, as you mentioned.
As for the present thread, I think I'm picking up what you're putting down. I'm picturing him saying she is nothing to him happening after our past thread, maybe a few years or even a decade or two? Considering our time tables, we have a lot of leeway. I'd like to know when/where/how he said it to her, the context would be good for replies in the future. What were you thinking?
Depending on what we want happen in the past, I think I want that to have hurt Elena, in a way. After Mystic Falls was completely thrashed and she lost everyone besides Caroline and Damon, I could picture her visiting New Orleans here and there throughout the post-apocalypse period. Even if it wasn't to check in with Klaus specifically, she was always pretty close with Elijah which is an excuse to visit. On one of those visits, he said what he said, and boom. Her visits ceased, and they saw each other in passing.
Now, I want her to return to NOLA. She's been on her own for a while, and in an apocalypse, being on your own is both scary and lonely. She's probably heard that vampires remain in NOLA, which means some humans to feed from and just plain civilization, in a way. People to interact with. Elena is a social person, and can't go off by herself for too long without going stir crazy. She ends up running into Klaus... should this be intentional or accidental?
Also, I can send one starter and you send the other? Which one would you wanna send?

Elena! These two need to plot. I have it so Stefan is human atm... He's been hiding from the Mystic Falls gang since the radiation hit. So they think he is dead. They would need to meet again. I'm all in this Elena visiting NOLA every now and then. Perhaps she would at some point become part of the puzzle, you know? This apocalypse, left nothing. Which means that the smallest action, person is now part of a bigger thing, and somehow her visits would be too. Maybe because of loneliness, there comes a day where Niklaus even finds himself waiting for her. And you know my hybrid, he would just hate to admit that he is relying on anyone else. So that day he would be in a particular bad mood, and you know just how dramatic he can be. So this leads to that, and there he does what he does best, being an ass.
In the present time, the Mikaelson left NOLA after Nik found Mount Weather, which is basically a huge bunker that was used by 'mountain men' in the 100, but there is no one left Inside (that is alive) and it's quite fancy, so you know just the perfect place for Mikaelsons.
So if you want them to meet in NOLA, perhaps in one of his strolls he finds her there.
Or you can have her come to Mount Weather, whichever you like best!
I'd rather go with the past one if you don't mind, because I'm in the mood of a Niklaus losing the plot, but if you prefer to start with this one, no problem mate I can do the other, just let me know.

Hi there!! I think it's about time we reunite these two. I would imagine the two stayed as far away from each other as it was possible through most of it.
Asides from that, I really would love to see the two of them (over a long period of time) connect on something and at least have a semi-normal relationship. They both have no family left, well, except each other HAHAHA. And they hate each other. So I think it would be fun to write and see the amount of character development it takes for them to gradually start caring for each. what do you think?

Hey! You're right, these two definitely need to meet. Elena will probably be pretty upset with Stefan for keeping to himself for all this time, actually upset might be an understatement. 132 years is a long time, and since she has gone off on her own, knowing he was alive would have given her a bit more hope than she has currently.
Elena is wandering, but she'll be heading to Mount Weather with Klaus when my thread with him wraps up. I believe Stefan is at Mount Weather (if I'm correct), so when I'm further into that thread and about to throw her into Mount Weather, we could have a reunion there?
Hey there! I can totally see where you're coming from. After 132 years, I've been wanting to have it that Elena has let go of some grudges with those around her. She might still be bitter with Katherine in the beginning of their new relationship here, but I'd love to see how they develop! Like I said for Stefan up above, Elena is currently wandering near New Orleans but will be heading to Mount Weather at the end of my thread with Klaus.

Oh trust me, if anyone is STILL bitter or holding a grudge, it would definitely be Katherine. But I feel like as things would go on and their interaction continued, some actual growth could definitely happen there.
Maybe the two could possibly run into each other there? Katherine wouldn't usually be caught dead anywhere near there because of Klaus but maybe curiosity takes over and decides to just take a peak and be out of there before anyone finds out and that's how she finds Elena there? |
