"Your little friend bled all over my shirt. I just so happen to like this shirt very much, so you can imagine how upsetting that is. And when I’m upset bad things tend to happen. I’m sure you understand."
The brunette spoke up, her tone as gentle and innocent as one could be, hiding away the darkness and amusement that plagued her mind as she walked up to the last male standing, leaving a trail of disfigured bodies behind her. What a joke this guy truly was, thinking the six of them, pathetic excuse for human beings, could ever overpower someone like her. In true Katherine Pierce fashion, she took her time, slowly circling him, trying to decide whether his death will be a quick one.
"Don’t tell me you are scared of a little old me. I’m not going to hurt you, cupcake. I’m just going to KILL you."
And in true human fashion, he tried running away from her. For a second or two, she made him believe he was actually going to get away. Gave him hope. Just so she can take in all away. Which was exactly what she did. In one swift move, she was right in front of him, her face inches away from his.
"GOD, all that running really tired me out. I’m famished."
Small giggle escaped her as she ran her bloody thumb over his cheek, small dark veins popping under her eyes. “Warning, this might hurt a little.” And just like that, she held him in place, her teeth piercing through the skin of his neck, stopping just in time. This wasn’t how he was going to go. Katherine had other plans.
Pulling away from him, the brunette made him look her right in the eyes. "Now, this is what happens when you treat a lady poorly. Perhaps, next time you’ll be a little wiser." Once again, she spoke, gently trailing her fingers across his chest, enjoying the state of mind she had put him in. Making him think all the pleading and begging he was doing was actually going to help him, before she abruptly pulled his heart out, letting the now lifeless body fall down to the ground.
"Oops. I guess I forgot to mention there won’t be a next time for you."
Just when Katherine thought she was done for the day, she heard another heartbeat nearby. Quickly turning around, still holding the heart in her hand, she smirked. They really didn’t know when to stop.
"Do come out, the party is JUST getting started."

One hundred and thirty two years ago if someone told Regina that she was going to wake up from a sleeping curse only to realize that the world as she knew it had ended, she wouldn't believe it.
Yet, there she stood, in a destroyed world and even though she didn't fully grasp the point of that destruction, she could feel deep down in her bones that it was bad. Everything around her felt wrong, tasted wrong, connected in all the wrong ways, almost as if the world had suddenly been poisoned. Of course it had been, in the most direct and vicious way and our was just now beginning her journey towards understanding this.
One hundred and thirty two years ago if someone told Regina that she would find out that vampires were actually real, she wouldn't believe it, even though deep down she knew that she was also someone that most would doubt the existance of to begin with. In fact, she would most likely laugh at the person and question their sanity.
Yet, there she stood, having one right in front of her.
It was unclear to her if she had caught the scene from the very beginning or just half way through it but to be honest, it didn't really matter because it didn't make it any less brutal. She just stood there watching and through the whole time she was silent. Of course that she could of tried to save the lives of those people but she couldn't bring herself to do it. And it wasn't because of the blood or the brutality of the scene because as The Evil she had seen her fair share of blood. No. That wasn't the real reason that blocked her actions. She was shocked, yes, but just because she had never seen a creature like that one. She wasn't even sure if that was a but it sure hell looked like one.
Soon, it seemed that said had finally shifted her attention to her. Firmly yet still astonished, Regina decided to reveal herself and stepped forward from behind the trees. There was a moment of silence and she wasn't even sure if she should feel scared or remain surprised. Finally, she straightened herself, her eyebrow arching, her chin high with her typical arrogance.
"And here I thought ripping out hearts was my thing."

Expecting yet another caveman to come her way, Katherine was rather surprised when a female stepped out of the shadows. To top it all off, it wasn’t someone who looked like they belonged in this world. Curiosity peaked, Katherine let the heart slip off of her fingers and fall as she headed towards the female, completely covered in blood.
"Hmm." Her head falling to the side, the observed her – she wasn’t running and yet she wasn’t attacking her. Adding to that, the female wasn’t scared of her. Smart or rather foolish? Only time could tell. Or was it perhaps something different, was she a…
"…witch."
How could she not see it right away? After all, Katherine spent most of her life be-befriending witches all over the globe. At this point, she could practically smell them a mile away. They were rather useful and, if she was being honest, it was always better to have witches on your side, especially if you were being hunted by a CERTAIN hybrid.
"Really? Well, if you didn’t have my attention before, you sure have it now." Katherine finally replied, eyes glistening with a hint of amusement. Everything, well, most things, were a game to Katherine. This was not an exception. But she would be lying if she were to say she wasn’t intrigued by the sudden development of the events.
"I would invite you to join the fun, but I’m afraid they are all…well— dead."

Regina just did what the one in front of her was doing which was analyze the female to make sure what type of threat she had in front of her or if she would be a threat at all. So far, the female didn't seem to be gifted with any magical powers so it was most likely safe to assume that Regina had the upper hand in this situation if it ever came down to that. For this reason, she sustained her confidant stance and dared to take a couple of steps forward, however keeping a safe distance between them just in case.
"I could say the same. You definitely caught my attention, even though you could use a more... Clean... Technique."
The word clean was said with a certain desdain and irony as she waved her hand over the dead bodies around her. All of that was definitely a mess but there was nothing anybody could do about it now. They were dead, well damn dead and that wasn't going to change.
Eyes moving from the corpses back to the female, she decided to ask a question that was lingering in her head ever since she woke up from the sleeping curse. The thing is, up until now she had nobody to ask this to, so she couldn't exactly miss the opportunity.
And to be honest, she was quite afraid of the answer.
"What year is this?"

It seemed as though the party really was just getting started. The more she looked at the female in front of her, the clearer it became. She really was from another time. Or at least that’s what Katherine wanted her to be. It would certainly make things much more interesting around here. The thought lingered in her mind as she listened to her speak and with each passing second, Katherine really started believing in her own theory.
Clean? A scoff left her lips, taking a look at something she considered to be a masterpiece. It was sad really, no one really appreciated or respected the length you’d have to go to, if you wish to create an abstract art as BEAUTIFUL as this one. For Katherine, it was all about sending a message --- which was exactly what she did. And besides, it was fun. For her, at least.
"But where is the fun in that?"
Shoulders shrugging, she asked, a soft laughter escaping her. None of this people mattered to her. The harsh reality was, they were just food. To top it off, they would have tried killing her and when it comes to the kill-or-be-killed game people like to play, Katherine always have and always will choose herself. However, to most people, the mere sight of this would have caused a negative reaction of some sort. Not with this witch.
When another question was thrown her way, the brunette once again couldn’t help but to giggle in pure amusement. As unbelievable as it may be, she was right. It was so obvious now.
"Hmm. What year do you think it is?"

Fun.
1.
noun enjoyment, amusement, or light-hearted pleasure.
The type of concept that the female was referring to was something that Regina was quite familiar with in the past. After all, she didn't begin to be known as -The Evil - for nothing. She remembered perfectly how it felt, the amount of adrenaline that would run through her body, the joy she felt when she inflicted pain in her targets and brought them nothing more then misery.
All of that while she was having fun.
"Trust me. I know what you mean." Was the only thing she said regarding this, not really wanting to tap into that dark past of hers because, well, she was well aware of what that brought in the long run. It brought misery, solitude. Instead, she waited for the other's reply regarding the current date, anxiety and anticipation ruling her at this point.
Yet, her question was answered with another question, a question that she wasn't really expecting. Confused for a moment, she blinked, yet she took her chance and replied with confidence that nothing had really changed that much, even though deep down something told her that it wasn't exactly like that.
"2018."

2018.
2018.
2018.
2018.
The year rang inside her head over and over again, complete and utter shock overtaking her thoughts. As much as she expected the female to be from somewhere and as much as she had her suspicions, hearing it like that, having the witch basically confirm everything she thought was still incredibly shocking. All she could do was stare at the other female for a couple seconds, her face acting like a mask, not reveling a thing she was feeling at the moment.
To a normal bystander, that is. If you looked closely and if you were fast enough, there was a small chance of you catching the glimmer of shock appearing in her eyes, swallowed by her façade a mere second later.
"2018, huh? God, I LOVED that year." There was nothing about this woman that indicated she was lying. From the way she looked, or the way she smelled, even from the way her hair was done –it was very clear she didn’t belong in this world. Still, Katherine shrugged it off, being very casual about it, even though she was extremely fascinated by the whole thing.
"And how exactly did you even end up here?"

At this point, she didn't know what was worse. If the fact that Katherine was clearly making fun of the situation or if she hadn't told her what she wanted to know. Regina still didn't know what year it was but judging by the way Katherine was putting it, it seemed that 2018 had been a very long time ago. So by now, the wasn't looking so friendly. Her features clearly hardened, her hand dropped to her side and closed into a tight ball, showing exactly how much all of this was unsettling to her.
Did Katherine think this was a joke? Maybe she was from around here, maybe she was used to this crazy world... But... Regina wasn't. There was a lot at stake here and for her, this was no game. The less she knew, the more Zira would have against her and no doubt that the lioness would always have the upper hand. That couldn't be afforded and Regina wasn't about to take that risk.
Her other hand also dropped, to her other side and also curling up as tension and impatience grew inside her like wild grass. Patience was never really her virtue and that wasn't going to change now. "You didn't answer my question." She pointed out. "I'm not telling you a damn thing until you tell me what year is it."

“Ah. Ah. Ah.”
Katherine practically tsked at the other brunette. There was nothing the loved more than getting under someone’s skin. Which was exactly what she was getting from Regina – a reaction. In all honesty, Katherine didn’t mind answering her question at all. Mostly because she really wanted to witness the pure shock this witch would be under when the answer is finally revealed. But of course, it had to be done the way KATHERINE wanted it done. “Why the sudden hostility, ? Here I thought you were actually enjoying my company.”
Things were never simple and easy with Katherine and she’d be damned if that would start to change now. Everything most things was a game to her. It had to be. She had to play in order to win. To survive. And in the end, surviving was the only thing that mattered. The only thing she had left.
“And IF I do decide to tell you, do I get something in return?” Katherine questioned, the very same amusement evident in her tone. She couldn’t help herself. For once curiosity really did get the better of her. And finding more about WHO this person was and WHERE she came from quickly became a priority for Katherine.
“For starters – your name? At least you can give me that. Help ME, help YOU. Us girls should really stick together, don’t you think?”

If there was one thing that Regina had improved in over the last years was her patience. Because let's face it... If this dialog was happening back in the Enchanted Forest, after the first smart-ass remark, Katherine would be flying way up into the air. But since Regina had somehow evolved as a person, that would only happen after a couple of those remarks.
So pretty much right about now.
So since her question wasn't answered, she lost whatever was remaining of her improvement. She was in a strange land, unsure if the female standing in front of her proved to be any kind of threat or not and her patience simply ran out. Not to mention the mocking tone that she felt coming from the other female. And mocking her? Well... now that was something that would definitely trigger her impatience.
"Sudden hostility?"
Her hand then quickly moved up and before Katherine could even think about escaping, she was pinned against the nearest tree, a sudden burst of roots forcing themselves around her body and preventing her from escaping their grip. Regina never got tired of this trick. It worked every time.
"Now that we've covered what hostility really means... The only thing you'll get in return is that you get to keep your life. How does that sound?"
But still and despite said hostility and evident mockery, the female continued to seem very interested in their conversation, even asking for a name right before she was immobilized. Stepping forward, Regina looked up, arms slowly crossing on top of her chest, a smirk slowly erupting from her lips.
"Now that depends on who's asking."
